Moonlighting Industry Awards
Jan. 1987 | The 1986 Hollywood Foreign Press bestowed its 1986 Golden Globe Awards in January 1987 and both Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd won in their categories. This clip has first Bruce's speech and then Cybill's...and also a rather humorous moment from the press room with both Bruce & Cybill. Interestingly for the Globes, the Hollywood Foreign Press classified Moonlighting as a Musical or Comedy program.
Sept. 1987 | The 1986/87 Emmy for Lead Actor in a Drama series went to Bruce Willis for his portrayal of David Addison in Moonlighting. This clip contains his acceptance speech. One of the highlights of the speech is when Bruce explains why a vote for Moonlighting is a vote for anarchy. Cybill Shepherd was not able to be at the ceremony that year as about a week later she gave birth to her twins. Contrary to the Golden Globes, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences classified Moonlighting as a Dramatic program for the Emmys.
